On July 12, 1993 the flood waters that were ravaging the Missouri River Valley topped the levee at the south entrance of the cemetery and dug a “blue hole” in the center of the cemetery 90 ft. deep and destroying two-thirds of the cemetery. When the water receded two-thirds of the cemetery was destroyed. It was determined that 793 of the 1576 burials were displaced. With the help of the Missouri Funeral Directors Association, under the leadership of Dean Snow, Ray County Coroner, 645 remains were recovered. 120 of the recovered bodies were identified and reburied. The 525 bodies that were not identified were buried in a section of the cemetery now referred to as the Unknown Section. A Memorial Service was held December 5, 1993 to remember these loved ones.

New Comer’s Night on vuosittainen debytantti-ilta, jota on järjestetty vuodesta 2008 lähtien. Nykyään tapahtumaa tuottaa kotimaisen burleskiopetuksen kattojärjestö, Suomen Burleskinstituutti. Tapahtuma on ainutlaatuinen tilaisuus tuoda osaamistaan esille laajemmalle yleisölle, muille burleskiesiintyjille ja tapahtumatuottajille kotimaassa.
New Comers Nightissa on tehnyt ensiesityksensä muun muassa LouLou D’vil, joka vuonna 2013 kruunattiin Las Vegasin Burlesque Hall of Fame-tapahtumassa The Reigning Queen of Burlesque -kruunulla. Tänä vuonna New Comers Nightiin ilmoittautui liki 30 uutta tulokasta. Suuresta suosiosta johtuen iltoja järjestetään kaksi: VOL I Turussa 04.10.2013 ja VOL II Tampereella 23.11.2013. Turun tapahtumasta vastaa Kiki Hawaiji ja Tampereella vastuussa ovat Mimi de Frou Frou ja Lafayette Lestrange.

Burleskia, dragia ja yliampuvaa tunnelmaa pursuva Neon Light Safari johdattaa kimaltavien lähteiden äärelle, hopeisten palmujen ja sähköä sykkivän kuun alle. Oppaana toimii kansainvälinen taiteilijapersoona Leila Halkeama. Illan aikana nähdään esityksiä seuraavilta artisteilta:
